Middlesbrough now looks certain to rotate his midfield for the encounter against Preston North End owing to the suspension of Barry Bannan as Sheffield Wednesday’s boss Danny Rohl should confirm. This was made clear after Bannan improperly accumulated yellow cards which see Rohl without a player in the team.
During a press conference, Rohl dropped suggestions of individuals who could replace Bannan and among them is Nathanial Chalobah who performed exceptionally well despite taking aatal time during his first game from the bench against Derby County. Rohl considered starting Chalobah in the match against Preston but told her that there is a major difference between warming the bench and starting a match.
Rohl now has options in Svante Ingelsson and Liam Palmer in addition to Chalobah in determining the best midfield formation with Bannan missing. While Chalobah has made Birmingham City fans and teammates to appreciate him, neither can it be guaranteed that he will be starting since Rohl analyses that he will likely to be a substitute.
