Sheffield Wednesday youngster Killian Barrett secures a short-term loan deal to Solihull Moors

Part of the objective to bring in the senior experience of Ben Amos, Sheffield Wednesday young talent Killian Barrett has been loaned out to National League side Solihull Moors. The 20 year old joined the Owls in jul after a trial period and he’ll have to wear the number 33 shirt whenever he is at Damson Park.

Barrett, who has been playing with the Wednesday’s U21s side, wants to challenge himself by to play on the next level. The loan switch to Solihull Moors is perfect for the young shot-stopper to gain the minutes he needs to get the game time and develop his skills.

Solihull Moors manager Andy Whing will be expecting that recruitment of Barrett will boost the team’s defensive prowess. The Moors are due to face Aldershot Town tomorrow night and Barrett could feature for the club for the first time in this fixture providing he meets with the relevant requirements of the Football League and the Football Association.

Klopp’s decision to loan out Barrett on Wednesday only mean that the club is investing in young talents as well as offering them the best chances they need to grow. When this new chapter at Solihull Moors starts, Barrett will definitely want to make a good impression and improve his chances of getting to the first team in Wednesday in the future.
