Writing in his Express & Star column, Edwards expressed his disbelief at the team’s response to Krejci’s opener:
“It was set up perfectly for Wolves. Leeds were struggling to score and short on confidence after their setback against Fulham. Then Krejci produces a fantastic goal, and you think this is the platform to go on and win. But instead, Wolves sat back, dropped deep, and became passive. It was alarming to see.”

Pundit Danny Murphy also criticised the Wolves backline, highlighting the poor defending that allowed Leeds to turn the game around so quickly.

Pereira’s Approach Under Scrutiny

Head coach Vitor Pereira has come under fire for his tactical approach, particularly at home. His preference for a pragmatic back-five system may suit matches against stronger opposition, but Edwards and others argue it is far too cautious when facing newly promoted teams at Molineux.

The defeat leaves Wolves facing increasing pressure, with Everton up next. Supporters are calling for a more positive approach, urging Pereira to trust a squad that has the talent to play on the front foot rather than retreat into defensive shapes.
