James Maddison has reignited the rivalry between Norwich City and Ipswich Town with a cheeky jab at the Tractor Boys following their derby triumph.

Ipswich ended a 16-year wait for league victory over their bitter rivals with a 3-1 win at Portman Road, dominating from start to finish. After Ipswich’s recent win, one fan resurfaced Maddison’s old post, replying, “Any update on this?” The England international quickly fired back, writing: “1 win in 16 years. Have some shame son.”

While Maddison’s dig reminds Ipswich fans of their long wait for bragging rights, it’s hard to begrudge the Tractor Boys their celebrations. The victory could mark a turning point in their campaign, as McKenna’s team finally seem to be building momentum after a sluggish start.
