West Ham United are reportedly plotting an ambitious swoop for Real Madrid’s teenage sensation Endrick, who is expected to be made available for loan in the January transfer window.

The Brazilian forward, who joined Madrid from Palmeiras in 2024 for a fee rising to £61 million, has struggled to break into Xabi Alonso’s first-team plans. Having failed to make an appearance in the club’s opening ten matches this season, Los Blancos are now open to a loan-to-buy deal, sparking interest from several European clubs — including West Ham.

The Hammers believe their Brazilian connection could work in their favour, with Lucas Paquetá known to be close friends with Endrick. Club officials at the London Stadium hope that relationship could help lure the 19-year-old to East London.

Despite limited minutes last season, Endrick showcased his potential with seven goals in all competitions, including five in six Copa del Rey appearances. He also earned his Brazil senior debut at 17, and has already scored three international goals, one memorably coming against England at Wembley.

However, an injury earlier this season and fierce competition in Madrid’s attack have left him frustrated. According to The Sunday People (19 October, p.55), Endrick has informed his representatives that he “will have to leave” in January if his playing time does not improve.

Alongside West Ham, Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Juventus are also keeping tabs on his situation.

When Endrick signed for Madrid, he famously declared his wish to “spend my whole life here.” Yet with opportunities limited and his development at risk of stalling, a short-term move could now be on the cards.

For West Ham, landing such a high-profile talent would be a commercial and sporting coup — but fans have been urged to remain realistic. Should Alonso begin to integrate the youngster more regularly, Madrid’s stance could quickly change, leaving the Hammers’ hopes hanging in the balance.
