West Ham United forward Niclas Fullkrug is reportedly closing in on a winter move to AC Milan after reaching what has been described as a basic agreement with the Italian club.
According to Calciomercato, Milan are eager to strengthen their attacking options during the January transfer window and have identified Fullkrug as a suitable addition. The 32 year old striker has now taken a significant step toward a switch to Serie A following positive talks with the Rossoneri.
Fullkrug’s time in east London has been difficult since his £27 million move from Borussia Dortmund in August 2024. He arrived with high expectations after playing a key role in Germany, but his spell at West Ham has been disrupted by ongoing fitness problems. Those issues have limited him to just 413 minutes across nine appearances in all competitions during the current season.
With injuries continuing to hamper his progress, a mid season exit is increasingly likely as the German international looks for a fresh start. Interest in his services has grown, with Milan emerging as one of the leading contenders.
Milan’s pursuit of Fullkrug comes as they search for a reliable goalscorer. Santiago Gimenez has struggled to settle following his move from Feyenoord and his long term future at the club remains unclear. That situation has prompted Milan to explore alternative options in attack.
