Neil Harris heavily disagree with the referee who opted to give an early yellow card to Japhet Tanganga of Millwall team during the match against Oxford United, this has in effect, ruled Tanganga out of action during the next match against Coventry City. The offence took place in the first five minutes of the match which meant that Tanganga gained his fifth yellow card and a free match ban.
Harris complained, and said that this was ‘extremely harsh booking’, and wondered whether the referee was being selective in his brand of provocation. Other tricky moment in the match could have provoked bookings of Oxford players and they were not punished. However, Harris appreciated Tanganga for his discipline after receiving the booking saying that he has performed exceptionally well during the match.
Despite the importance of Tanganga who is expected to be out in the next game, Harris admitted that his side needs to create chances for other players to come into the playing field due to the absence of Tanganga, Coops, and Hutch. : Unfortunately, however, Harris expressed his disappointment towards it and focused on the need to adapt to the current development and work with what they have in future.
