Ex Aston Villa ace Gabby Agbonlahor has criticised Wolves midfielder Mario Lemina for shirking hand with West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen following Monday’s match.
The Hammers’ pivotal 1-0 victory in the match only added more pressure on manager of the Wolves Gary O’Neil, and it appears the tensions came to a head of the players after the final whistle. The rejection that Lemina tendered to Bowen’s handshake offer did not sit well with Agbonlahor who spent his Instagram posting profile describing the Gabon international as an ‘absolute prat.’
The flashpoint was especially refreshing during a nerve-wracking in East London, where both teams needed a boosts. While West Ham’s win relieved pressure off Julen Lopetegui, Wolves’ defeat heaps pressure on the head of O’Neil.
Bowen played a vital role in the Hammers’ victory as he scored a magnificent goal, shortly after Wolves had equalized. His performance which was evident made fans remember his quality, the post-match incident, however, captured the attention of the people.
This was a most peculiar way for this heated match between Lemina and Bowen to end. It may not have influenced the result one way or another but it was entirely unbecoming of Lemina and unsavory to football fans.
