Luton’s hierarchy are now focused on finding a new leader capable of sparking a turnaround. Reports suggest the shortlist features three names: former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, Leyton Orient boss Ritchie Wellens, and ex-Swansea City manager Luke Williams.

Williams, who has been without a club since leaving Swansea in January, is seen as a strong candidate. Despite being dismissed after a difficult winter spell, his reputation remains solid following an impressive spell at Notts County—where he guided the club back to the Football League and had them competing for promotion in League Two before his move to South Wales.
