“Could be the next signing: Fabrizio Romano Unveils Thrilling Update on Potential New Spurs Addition!”

January 9, 2024

Tottenham Hotspur seem poised to secure Radu Dragusin as their ‘upcoming addition’, with the contract nearly finalized after striking personal terms with the Genoa sensation. Fabrizio Romano, the transfer guru, exclusively shared with GIVEMESPORT an inside look at Spurs’ advancements in sealing a Hotspur Way deal.

Under the leadership of Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have thrived, trailing just six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, fostering a need for reinforcements before the winter transfer window closes on February 1.

In recent weeks, the team has grappled with defensive shortages due to injuries to key players like Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. This scarcity has steered Postecoglou’s attention toward securing Dragusin.

An official bid of approximately £25.7 million for Dragusin was made by Tottenham within the last day, per Romano. The urgency to strike a deal with Genoa intensified as Bayern Munich, another interested party, hasn’t submitted an offer yet.

Romano hinted that Djed Spence, recently returned from a loan at Leeds United, might head to Genoa as part of the arrangement if Tottenham’s proposal is approved by Genoa, which appears likely.

Genoa seems open to the prospect of integrating Spence into their squad, signaling ongoing negotiations between the clubs. Despite Tottenham’s initial £21 million verbal offer falling short of Genoa’s £26 million valuation, Dragusin is eager to seal his move to London by week’s end.

While Bayern Munich attempts to intervene, Tottenham appears ahead in personal negotiations with Dragusin. The North London club sees him as a more feasible acquisition compared to their pursuit of Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, shared transfer insider Dean Jones with GIVEMESPORT.

Romano expressed, “Tottenham are in the mix. There’s competition from several clubs, but Tottenham is fighting hard to secure the deal. Negotiations persist with Genoa, and they remain the frontrunners.”

He continued, “They’ve already reached an agreement on personal terms with the player, so the contract is almost set. I believe Dragusin could be the next addition to Spurs’ squad.”
