Crystal Palace F.C. are reportedly lining up an ambitious summer swoop for Jaden Philogene as they look to reshape their forward line in what could become a blockbuster transfer.

Key figures such as Jean-Philippe Mateta and Adam Wharton are also attracting serious interest, prompting the club to plan early for potential departures. Palace have identified Philogene as a prime target. The winger moved to Ipswich Town F.C. last year after a difficult spell at Aston Villa F.C.
Despite Ipswich dropping into the Championship, he remained at Portman Road and has flourished, scoring 10 goals in 26 appearances this season. His form has not gone unnoticed. Several clubs are monitoring the situation ahead of the summer window, but Palace are said to be leading the race.
Their interest stands regardless of whether Ipswich secure promotion back to the Premier League. Ipswich reportedly turned down offers of around £20 million from Turkish sides in January and have made it clear internally that any sale would require at least £40 million. Should they achieve promotion, that valuation could climb to £60 million. Philogene remains under contract until 2029, strengthening Ipswich’s position in negotiations. His homegrown status in the Premier League further increases his appeal. While Ipswich are open to selling, they would reinvest the funds into reinforcing their midfield and defence.
The player himself is believed to be receptive to a summer move and would seek wages in the region of £80,000 per week to commit to a new club. Palace are viewed as frontrunners, and the deal could set a new transfer record for the Eagles. With a managerial change looming, a tactical shift away from a 3-4-3 system appears possible.
