Crystal Palace’s struggles continued as they drew with Zrinjski Mostar in the Conference League, sparking calls for change. The Eagles’ form has been poor, with only one win in 15 games under Oliver Glasner, who’s set to leave at the end of the season.
Brennan Johnson, the £35m signing from Tottenham, has been underwashing, failing to score or assist in nine games. Against Zrinjski, he was part of a blunt frontline, losing the ball nine times and taking just 26 touches.
Another newbie, Borna Sosa, was also disappointing, struggling to create openings and failing to make a key pass. The Croatian full-back, signed from Ajax for £4m, looks blunt and ineffective, hardly an upgrade on Tyrick Mitchell.
With Marc Guehi gone and Glasner leaving, the club needs improvements, and quickly. Cutting ties with Sosa might be the best resolution come summer .
