Ally McCoist is expected to be “spitting feathers” following the announcement of the post-split Premiership fixtures, according to Alan Brazil.
The SPFL confirmed the final five matches for each side yesterday, which will be played after the regular season concludes this weekend, before a pause for the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
One of the talking points is that Hearts will travel to face Celtic on the final day, despite the team leading the league at that stage typically being given a home fixture to close out the campaign.
Brazil believes Rangers have been handed a more difficult schedule compared to their rivals, and that McCoist will be far from pleased.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “I nearly kicked in my TV again watching Celtic.
How Celtic got away with that I will never know, away at Dundee. I will never know. But looking at it now, because they have revamped the fixtures like they do every season, Rangers supporters are going crazy – mental. They are raging.”
Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor asked: “How did they pick them?”
“I don’t know<” said Brazil. “If you talk to a Rangers supporter I picked them. Three points separate the top three, and the SPFL announced Celtic will play Hearts on the final day at Parkhead. Celtic have all the good games at home, Rangers have got games coming thick and fast.”
Agbonlahor chimed in again: “We have got to find out how they get picked, Al. It’s got to be a normal draw, surely?”
Brazil added: “It wasn’t Ally [McCoist], put it that way. He will be spitting feathers.
“A pal of mine was on right away saying ‘this is a disgrace, Celtic have got it easy.’ But I think Hearts have blown it, I’m sad to say. I think it’s between Celtic and Rangers. Celtic supporters should be thanking the lucky stars that they are still in it.
