According to reports from Haber Meydan, Galatasaray is set to throw a curveball at Brendan Rodgers by targeting Celtic’s Matt O’Riley in a potential transfer move.
The Turkish club, known for their surprise signings, is keen on landing O’Riley within the next few days, with manager Okan Buruk and his scouting team expressing strong interest in securing the midfielder’s signature, either immediately or at the end of the season. With the Turkish transfer window closing in less than 48 hours, Galatasaray is in talks with Celtic regarding the terms of the deal, contemplating an offer of approximately €15m for the coveted player.
Despite O’Riley’s significant contributions to Celtic, boasting ten goals and 12 assists in 32 appearances this season, the Scottish club faces a dilemma: accept Galatasaray’s offer now or brace themselves for another approach at the end of the season.
