“Almost Official: Leicester City’s Latest Signing Is a Done Deal, Just Waiting on the Final Paperwork!”

Currently dazzling on loan at Leicester City from Sporting CP, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu has been turning heads with his performances under Enzo Maresca in the Championship.

At just 19 years old, Fatawu has racked up three goals and nine assists over 27 Championship appearances, sparking widespread speculation about his future with the club beyond this season.

It has been reported that a €17m buyout clause could be activated should Leicester secure promotion to the Premier League, and according to 3News in Ghana, negotiations for Fatawu’s permanent transfer to Leicester are nearing completion.

The terms of the clause stipulate that it could be exercised provided the young star featured in at least 60% of the matches and Leicester achieved promotion. Currently leading the Championship by nine points and with Fatawu starting in 72% of the games, Leicester City is in a prime position.

This has prompted discussions between Sporting CP and Leicester to finalize the agreement for Fatawu to remain in England for the upcoming season. A source from Sporting CP disclosed to 3News, “It’s all formalities now. We’re just waiting until the end of the season to complete the paperwork.”

Hence, it appears that Fatawu is set to continue his journey at the King Power Stadium for the long term, barring any unexpected turn of events in Maresca’s campaign before the season concludes.
