After departing Celtic for Celta Vigo last summer, the Swedish defender has made a significant impact in his inaugural La Liga season, even donning the captain’s armband at times. His team’s recent 4-0 loss to Real Madrid marked the end of the line for Rafa Benitez, the coach who guided Liverpool to Champions League glory in 2005, leading to his sacking with the team hovering just two points above relegation.
