The talented Argentine left-back recently made a temporary move away from Celtic to Internacional in Brazil after joining the Glasgow side from Lanus in his native Argentina in 2022. Seeking more playing time, Bernabei is eager for a fresh start with his new club.

Throughout Ange Postecoglou’s reign as manager and into Brendan Rodgers’ return, Greg Taylor held the starting spot at left-back, making it difficult for Bernabei to secure regular game time. In a candid statement during his debut press conference with Internacional, the 23-year-old emphasized that language barriers played a significant role in his struggles at Celtic.
