West Ham United staged an impressive come-from-behind triumph on the road against Wolves, but manager David Moyes was left unimpressed by the performances of some of his players.

Wolves initially took the lead in the 33rd minute courtesy of Pablo Sarabia’s penalty. However, West Ham fought back, equalizing with their own penalty from Lucas Paqueta in the 73rd minute, before James Ward-Prowse completed the comeback in the final ten minutes.

Moyes praised the impact of his substitutes but made it clear that the starting players must also raise their game and meet the required standards.

In a statement to the club’s website, Moyes emphasized that complacency would not be tolerated, stating, “If players believe their place in the team is secure, they are mistaken. Everyone must perform at a high level, or their spot is at risk.”

While the victory was uplifting, Moyes was critical of the team’s overall performance at Molineux. West Ham’s lackluster first-half display allowed Wolves to dominate the game, showcasing vulnerabilities in defense and an unimpressive attack.

Despite these concerns, West Ham’s ability to bounce back and secure all three points on the road is commendable. The win leaves Moyes’ side just one point behind sixth-placed Manchester United, who have a game in hand over the Hammers.

Looking ahead, West Ham will aim for a strong finish in the Premier League and a successful run in the UEFA Europa League. They face Bayer Leverkusen in a two-legged quarter-final tie, with hopes of progressing further in the competition.
