“Transfer Alert: Leicester City Enters Liverpool Transfer Radar as Enzo Maresca Sets Sights on January Moves!”

November 26, 2023

Leicester City’s eyes are set on Liverpool’s young defender Jarell Quansah as the January transfer window looms closer.

With the winter window approaching, Enzo Maresca hints at potential signings to fortify the team’s position at the summit of the table. Reports from The Sun’s Alan Nixon (via Patreon) suggest City and Preston North End have expressed keen interest in the 20-year-old talent, with Ryan Lowe, Preston’s manager, reportedly observing Quansah’s performances.

Quansah has made a mark in Liverpool’s first-team scene this season, boasting four Premier League appearances and nine outings across various competitions. His contributions include an assist in September’s Carabao Cup duel against City, showcasing glimpses of his potential.

Previously on loan at Bristol Rovers in League One, Quansah made 16 league appearances, earning accolades for his impressive displays.

Reflecting on his aspirations after a match, Quansah revealed, “I just wanted the opportunity… it’s about kicking on and improving. I’m a perfectionist, always working on the pitch to get better.”

While a potential deal for the defender leans toward a loan move, Leicester City currently have room for another loan slot in their matchday squad. There’s speculation about a possible loan deal for Valentin Barco, associated with Manchester City.

City could potentially free up more loan slots by considering turning one of their existing loan deals into a permanent move in January. Both Yunus Akgun and Abdul Fatawu reportedly have clauses for permanent transfers in their loan agreements.
