Leicester City Player Shockingly Reveals Zero Regrets About Transfer – But Absolutely Furious with Failed Departure Opportunity

Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet has expressed no regrets about his tenure at the club, despite missing out on a potential move to Torino. Praet, speaking to Het Nieuwsblad, discussed his upcoming free agency and reflected on his time at Leicester, which is set to conclude after a somewhat frustrating five-year stint.

Having arrived from Sampdoria in a €19m deal in 2019, Praet’s time at Leicester was hampered by recurring injuries, preventing him from fully making his mark. Despite falling short of expectations in terms of appearances and contributions, the 29-year-old remains steadfast in his decision, stating, “I don’t regret it. I wanted to be in the Premier League, and I’ve had some amazing experiences. However, I wished for more playing time, which has been the toughest aspect.”

With his contract expiring soon, Praet is eager for a fresh start and aims to rediscover his impact on the pitch. Although Leicester thwarted his desired move to Torino in 2022, where he enjoyed regular playtime and a pivotal role, Praet remains philosophical about the situation. Expressing disappointment over the failed transfer, he remarked, “Leicester valued me highly and weren’t willing to let me leave easily. While I am not one to push for transfers, Torino remains a destination I would consider.”

As he prepares to embark on a new chapter in his career, Praet looks forward to finding joy in the game once more and seeks to become a key figure at his next club.
