Although recent reports suggested that Leicester City was on the verge of securing the signing of Lucas Beraldo from São Paulo, it appears that the situation has taken an unexpected turn.

Journalist Gabriel Sá has disclosed an exclusive claim, indicating that the Brazilian club is now poised to offload the defender to Paris Saint-Germain instead. According to the report, the French club has made significant progress in negotiations, reportedly offering €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses for the transfer.

Gabriel Sá further emphasized that Beraldo is expected to travel to Paris in the coming weeks to finalize the deal. This development comes after earlier reports asserting Leicester City’s interest and their purported bid to outmatch Zenit, who had offered €18 million for the player.

Despite initial expectations that Leicester City would match PSG’s €20 million bid, the specifics of the bonuses were not initially disclosed. Beraldo had expressed a desire to play in the Premier League and was reportedly inclined to accept Leicester City’s offer due to his trust in their project. However, it appears that PSG presented more compelling reasons to sway the player in their favor.
