Jake Humphrey Urges Norwich Supporters to Emulate Ipswich Fans in Epic Clash Against Leeds in Play-off

Jake Humphrey is encouraging Norwich City supporters to emulate the actions of their Ipswich Town counterparts when Leeds United visit Carrow Road this Sunday.

With Daniel Farke returning to East Anglia as Leeds aim to gain an upper hand in the Championship play-off semi-final clash against Norwich, the Canaries have taken steps to enhance the atmosphere at Carrow Road by announcing plans to turn the stadium into a “sea of yellow” for the crucial match.

In addition to this initiative, well-known Norwich fan Humphrey has urged fans to replicate Ipswich fans’ enthusiastic welcome of the team bus, as they did before a derby at Portman Road. “I’d love the fans to recreate what Ipswich did for the team bus arrival ahead of the derby at Portman Road. Really make the players feel it,” expressed the television host via his personal X account on Wednesday.

As the anticipation for the play-offs builds, discussions often center around the recent form of the competing teams, a factor that may not bode well for Leeds United. During the last five Championship matches, Leeds have accumulated the fewest points among all four play-off teams, with just four points earned from a possible 15.

While Southampton, West Brom, and Norwich each secured six points in their last 15 available, Norwich’s victory tally matches Leeds’ with only one win in their past five games. Norwich fell to Birmingham in their last regular-season game, a loss that inadvertently contributed to Birmingham’s subsequent relegation. In contrast, Leeds suffered a final-day defeat against fourth-placed Southampton.

Although Leeds possess the potential to overcome Norwich, the outcome of this clash remains uncertain. Historically, Leeds have struggled in such high-stakes situations, but the time has come for them to defy convention and reverse this trend.
