Moussa Dembele wasted no time teasing Rangers after giving a round of applause to Celtic following their Scottish Cup triumph.

During his two-year stint in Glasgow, the French forward clinched six trophies before departing for Lyon in a near £20 million deal. Dembele netted seven goals in 10 matches against Ibrox’s squad during his stay at Parkhead, including a stellar hat-trick in a 5-1 victory back in September 2016. Recalling his Hoops days with warmth, the striker took to social media this weekend to extend his congratulations to his former club after Adam Idah’s decisive goal secured the cup for the Premiership champions.

However, Dembele couldn’t resist a sly dig at Rangers in his message, playfully poking fun at Philippe Clement’s side. In his post, he quipped, “Well done Bhoys! A well-deserved double. Always on the winning side, and as for Rangers…I’d rather keep mum,” along with a laughing emoji.

Fans enthusiastically embraced the message from the Al-Ettifaq forward, showering him with love and some even pleading for a potential return to Glasgow from the 27-year-old.
