Coventry City’s coaching staff has been significantly impacted by the departure of Adi Viveash. The 54-year-old, who served as assistant manager and first team coach, was a key figure within Mark Robins’ coaching team, described by the manager as the one who ‘paints the pictures.’

In a brief statement, the club confirmed that Viveash is leaving as part of a restructuring of the coaching setup following a post-season evaluation. Coventry City expressed gratitude for Viveash’s seven years of service, highlighting his contribution to the club’s accomplishments, including their rise from League Two to the Championship.

Viveash initially joined Coventry in 2017 on a temporary basis to assist Robins during Steve Taylor’s absence due to illness. His role later became permanent, where he took on the responsibility of day-to-day coaching. His influence was evident in the club’s achievements, such as promotions and notable victories like the FA Cup quarter-final win over Wolves and the challenging semi-final against Manchester United.

The sudden news of Viveash’s departure has unsettled fans, coinciding with the appointment of new first team coaches George Boateng and Rhys Carr. It remains uncertain if either will assume the assistant manager position or if the club will seek a replacement for Viveash.
