Derby County’s defender, Ryan Nyambe, has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension that will keep him at Pride Park until the culmination of the 2026/27 season. The 26-year-old, who arrived as a free agent last year, quickly proved his worth and became an integral part of the team under Paul Warne.

Nyambe, who played a crucial role in Derby’s promotion from League One, appeared 21 times for the Rams in the 2023/24 season before sustaining a quad injury that required surgery. Despite this setback, he has bounced back and is now back in training with the squad.

Known for his versatility in defense, Nyambe predominantly featured as a right-back for Derby but has the ability to slot into other defensive roles as well. With over 250 professional appearances in English football, his experience will be vital as the Rams gear up for their return to the Championship in the upcoming season.
