Derby County Faces Catastrophic Blow as £350,000 Star Poached by Archrival Championship Team, Igniting Fury and Chaos

Derby County secured the signing of Ben Osborn as a free agent recently, aiming to boost their midfield ranks. However, as they continue to seek reinforcements in that area, reports suggest they might miss out on a key target.

Following his stint at Sheffield United, Osborn returned to the Rams on a two-year deal. Despite this signing, manager Paul Warne has been eyeing other midfield additions for the team. Derby had expressed interest in recruiting Idris El Mizouni from Ipswich Town, with the Tractor Boys open to selling the player for £350,000.

Although this price was within Derby’s budget, recent reports indicate that Oxford United, also keen on El Mizouni, are nearing a deal with Ipswich for the Tunisian international. Ipswich activated a contract extension for El Mizouni, leading them to profit from the potential sale. If Derby cannot match or surpass Oxford’s offer, El Mizouni is likely to join the latter club, forcing Warne to reconsider his transfer plans.
