The transfer fee is rumored to be €700,000. Although Thórdarson has attracted interest from various Championship clubs, including QPR and Derby County, the latest updates suggest that he has decided to join Preston.
Having joined Silkeborg from ÍA in 2020, the 25-year-old Thórdarson is in the final six months of his current contract. Standing at 6 foot 2, he has earned 21 caps for Iceland and scored his lone goal against Liechtenstein in October 2021. Last season, he recorded 11 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Silkeborg, surpassing the 100-appearance milestone for the club.
