PERMANENT DEAL BACK OM TRACK: Rangers revive hopes for star player Abdallah Sima and undergo medical for possible flop player!

Rangers are in the midst of an active summer window with nine new signings, but their transfer dealings are not yet complete.

One player who manager Philippe Clement is eager to bring back is Abdallah Sima, who seems to have no future at Brighton. Sima impressed during his loan spell at Ibrox last season, scoring 16 goals despite facing injuries. However, the Senegalese forward has been excluded from Brighton’s recent preseason fixtures, indicating that he may not be part of their plans for the upcoming season.

Sima has struggled to break into Brighton’s first team since his move from Slavia Prague three years ago. With his contract entering its final year and no appearances for the Premier League side, Brighton might look to sell him this month to avoid losing him for free.

Although Rangers may not afford Brighton’s asking price, they could pursue a discounted deal or another loan for the 23-year-old before the transfer window closes. On another front, Clement is working on offloading surplus players like Ianis Hagi to raise funds.

Meanwhile, midfielder Alex Lowry is expected to depart on loan due to limited playing time, and Todd Cantwell is seeking a permanent move after expressing his desire to leave. Additionally, Jose Cifuentes is on the brink of joining Aris Thessaloniki in Greece, with reports suggesting Rangers could receive £4m for the player next summer.
