Nathan Ngoy stands on the brink of securing a move to Luton Town, with a medical check being the final hurdle before he joins Kenilworth Road.

Journalist Bob Faesen reveals that the promising centre-back is in the final stages of a €5 million transfer from Standard Liege.

Following their relegation from the Premier League, Luton Town has been proactive in rebuilding their squad. With notable departures like Ross Barkley, Ryan Giles, and Gabriel Osho, the team has welcomed five new signings. Ngoy might soon be the sixth addition, as per Faesen’s report.

Sources indicate that the 21-year-old is on the verge of officially becoming a Luton Town player, with an agreement already in place. The deal includes a €5 million fee alongside a percentage from any future transfer. Ngoy’s transfer is pending the successful completion of his medical examination.

Although the schedule for the medical check remains undisclosed, it is likely to be arranged promptly given the pre-existing agreement.

Once Ngoy clinches the move, he will mark only the second instance this summer where Luton Town has invested in a player with funds. Remarkably, all their signings this season, barring the €11.7 million acquisition of Mark McGuinness, have been either free transfers or loan deals.
