Stoke City are reportedly set to make a fresh attempt to secure the services of Wolves’ forward Luke Cundle in the upcoming January transfer window. Despite a failed summer transfer to the Championship side, the Potters are determined to bring Cundle back to the Bet365 Stadium, as per EFL journalist Alan Nixon.
Having spent last season on loan with Plymouth Argyle and Stoke, Cundle showcased his talent with impressive stats. However, a return to Molineux this season didn’t see him immediately finding a spot in the team, with manager Gary O’Neil highlighting the tough competition ahead for the young midfielder.
With the recent signing of Fluminense star Andre on deadline day, Cundle faces an even steeper climb to secure a position in the Wolves lineup. Andre’s stellar performance for Brazil against Ecuador has further enhanced the challenge for Cundle to break through at his parent club. Now, Cundle must focus on making his mark with Stoke City and proving his worth in the coming months.
