WOLVES LEFT IN TEARS AS THEY PART WAYS WITH “SUPERSTAR” NOW OUTSHINING CUNHA IN SPECTACULAR FASHION

Wolverhampton Wanderers have had the Premier League rollercoaster of a season; they scored 54 goals and concedes the same number in the 13 matches. This total easily eclipses Everton’s 31 and Crystal Palace whose scored 29, showing the goalscoring ability of the Wolves while exposing their weaknesses at the back. Manager Gary O’Neil understands the role of forward such as Matheus Cunha has been performing alongside Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Standout performers in Cunha, who contributed seven goals and three assists have certainly delighted the Molineux fans. But troubles erupted in the match against AFC Bournemouth and Cunha showed some weaknesses that need to be cleared up. Of course, such passes cannot be predicted, but as Wolves is going to face Everton, they should not over expect from Cunha, as it may be dangerous to overload the 25-year-old player.

Of course, Cunha is in the purple patch right now, but going by the experiences of Pedro Goncalves at Wolves, he has had his fair share of troubles. Goncalves stormed to Sporting CP but failed to make any impact at the Molineux before finding his feet elsewhere. Looking at their careers the contrast makes you realize that the nature of football is very volatile.
