The chants for Martin O’Neill are growing louder and louder at Celtic.
The call to not keep O’Neill on board for a longer period during his interim spell now looks like a complete and utter disaster.
Celtic are in quite a mess under Wilfried Nancy, losing six of his eight games in charge, including against Rangers over the weekend.
What’s interesting is that it was suggested that O’Neill would be in the Sky Sports studios to analyse the Glasgow derby, but he then stepped aside from several commitments over the weekend, which just fuelled talk that he could return to the dugout.
But O’Neill is back in Glasgow on Monday morning.

Usually, on Monday morning, Celtic fans would be able to hear and watch O’Neill on talkSPORT, where he sits alongside Jim White and Simon Jordan to talk about the weekend games.
Understandably, they always touch upon Celtic, but White shared on talkSPORT, as Manchester United sacked Ruben Amorim, that O’Neill is in Glasgow for ‘a media appointment.’

“Darren Fletcher, now the man in charge on an interim basis. Shades of Martin O’Neill at Celtic, are they not?
“Martin O’Neill is in Glasgow this morning, but it’s a media appointment for Martin this morning. No movement, as yet, on Wilfried Nancy, who has lost six of his eight games in charge of Celtic. The last of which is the one that you just don’t lose if you are a Celtic manager, and that was against Rangers.”
What media commitments is O’Neill attending in Glasgow?
On Friday, O’Neill was booked to attend a fan Q/A, but it was postponed due to ‘personal reasons’ on the Celtic legend’s side.
That has now been rescheduled for Monday, as posted by bhoysviews on social media, and it’s why supporters might see pictures of the Irishman in Glasgow.
Of course, Celtic fans would prefer O’Neill to replace Nancy because the signs suggest this will only get uglier and uglier.
Shaun Maloney has been constantly pictured in the stands during Celtic’s games under Nancy, and that partnership worked like a treat, including winning every domestic game.
The quicker that duo return to Celtic, alongside the likes of Mark Fotheringham, on the training pitch, the better for the champions of Scotland and their hopes of winning something this term.
