“IT’S NOW OR NEVER!” – Celtic Face TRANSFER DISASTER Unless They ACT IMMEDIATELY For German Star Seeking Escape

Now is the moment to act, while the opportunity is still there.

Celtic can look back on this transfer window and feel they have let a few chances slip. It took more than three weeks of January before they finally wrapped up the signing of a striker, with Tomas Cvancara eventually coming through the door.

Martin O’Neill is still keen to strengthen further before the February 2 deadline, and with one defender actively looking for a way out of his current club, this feels like a situation the Hoops should be ready to pounce on.

Amenda pushing for Frankfurt exit
Central defence is clearly an area O’Neill wants to reinforce. With Jahmai Simpson-Pusey’s loan cut short, Celtic were forced to recall Stephen Welsh to bolster their options.

Aurele Amenda has already been linked with a move to Glasgow, and according to Estadio Deportivo, the Eintracht Frankfurt defender is eager to leave in search of regular football. The Switzerland international has featured mainly as a substitute this season and is keen to find a club where he can play week in, week out.

Interest is also coming from Ligue 1, which only adds to the urgency for Celtic if they want to get ahead of the queue.

Why Amenda makes sense for Celtic
At 22, Amenda already has valuable experience from one of Europe’s top leagues and understands the demands of competing at a high level. That pedigree alone would bring a different edge to Celtic’s back line.

Behind first-choice pairing Auston Trusty and Liam Scales, options are limited to Dane Murray and Welsh. While both have their uses, there is a clear drop in quality from the regular starters.

Amenda would raise the standard immediately. He would provide genuine competition for places, improve depth, and give Celtic added resilience at the back as the season enters a demanding final stretch.
