“As a fan myself, I completely get it.”
However, the buck stops with Moyes for many observers. While the players’ performance was below par, Moyes’s strategy seemingly set the stage for the defeat. His deferential approach to Arsenal, despite having bested them twice this season, seemingly equipped the players with a defeatist mindset from the start.
Arsenal’s dominance and the resultant 6-0 scoreline speak volumes, but Moyes’s tactical setup and decision to keep the lineup unchanged from the loss to Manchester United are baffling. It’s time for Moyes to critically evaluate his strategies and leadership to steer West Ham out of this turbulent phase.
