Kieran Tierney Drops Bombshell Declaration to Reunite with Celtic, Arsenal Open to Talks as Transfer Negotiations Escalate!

June 7, 2024

Kieran Tierney expresses his strong desire to reunite with Celtic amid rumors that Arsenal is open to considering offers during the upcoming summer transfer window.

In a recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke disclosed that Tierney would embrace the opportunity for a return to Celtic if an agreement could be reached between the clubs.

The 27-year-old defender is currently on the outskirts of Mikel Arteta’s plans at Arsenal and is slated to be put on the market after a stint with Real Sociedad last season.

While Celtic may face financial constraints in securing Tierney permanently and navigating his substantial wages could complicate any potential loan deal, there is mutual interest from both camps in a potential reunion.

Tierney, who has grappled with notable injury setbacks during his time in England, missed a considerable number of matches at Arsenal and Real Sociedad. Despite the setbacks, he has made a notable impact, featuring in 124 games for the Gunners and clinching an FA Cup title during his tenure.

Given his experience in European competitions, particularly from his recent spell in the Champions League with Real Sociedad, Tierney’s skills could serve as a valuable asset for Brendan Rodgers’ squad as they gear up for a Champions League campaign following their qualification.

Reports suggest that Celtic is contemplating bolstering their roster with five or six new signings ahead of their European venture. However, Tierney’s salary demands might pose a challenge in sealing a deal, while Arsenal is anticipated to seek a significant portion of their initial £25 million investment in the player.
