Celtic Bids Farewell to Long-Serving Board Member Tom Allison After 25 Years
Celtic Football Club has officially announced the retirement of board member Tom Allison. A lifelong, devoted fan of the club, Allison is stepping away after an impressive 25 years of service behind the scenes.
His professional relationship with the club’s leadership began in September 2001 when he was appointed as a non-executive director. Four years later, in 2005, he took on the crucial role of senior independent director.
Reflecting on his lengthy tenure, Allison expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to work with his boyhood team. He highlighted the massive transformation the club has undergone during his time on the board and called it a true privilege to play a part in that journey. He signed off by wishing the club and its passionate fanbase nothing but success in the years to come.
Celtic’s leadership was quick to praise his lasting impact. Interim chairman Brian Wilson pointed out that Allison joined the board during a critical transitional phase.
