Nottingham Forest Launch Bid for Dean Henderson Following Daniel Munoz Agreement

Nottingham Forest have submitted a bid for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson as head coach Oliver Glasner targets a double transfer raid on his former club ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

Forest picked up their first point of the Premier League season in a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday. Following the match, Glasner expressed a desire for additional squad depth before the transfer window closes.

The club has already added Liam Delap, Ousmane Diomande, Steven Benda, and Xaver Schlager to the squad this summer. According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Forest have also agreed to a £22m deal to sign Palace right-back Daniel Munoz. The Colombia international is scheduled for a medical on Sunday and is expected to sign a contract through 2029.

Romano revealed that Forest are now pushing to secure Henderson as well. While Matz Sels started the opening two league matches, Glasner is seeking a new primary goalkeeper for the campaign.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis continues to back the manager financially, evidenced by the high-profile arrivals of Diomande and Delap. Speaking after the Liverpool fixture, Glasner indicated that up to three additional players could arrive before Tuesday’s 11 p.m. deadline. He noted that he looks forward to celebrating with a pint once the window officially closes on Wednesday evening.

Alongside their pursuit of the Palace duo, Forest have reportedly lodged a £40m bid for Everton teenager Harrison Armstrong. The club has also explored options for Tottenham midfielders Lucas Bergvall and Pape Matar Sarr, though Bergvall is set to remain at Spurs and Sarr is closing in on a move to Juventus. An approach for Fiorentina right-back Dodo was recently rejected.
