Crystal Palace have reportedly initiated contact with former Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmoller. According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the Selhurst Park hierarchy is actively searching for a successor to Oliver Glasner, who is scheduled to depart the club when his contract expires this June.

Toppmoller Leads the Shortlist

The 45-year-old German tactician has emerged as a primary candidate for the Eagles. Toppmoller recently became available after a two and a half year stint with Frankfurt ended in January. While his final season in the Bundesliga was challenging, his overall resume remains impressive. He famously guided Frankfurt to a third-place finish and Champions League qualification last season.

Before his time as a head coach in Germany, Toppmoller built his reputation as an elite assistant under Julian Nagelsmann at both Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig. He also boasts silverware as a manager, having secured three consecutive league titles in Luxembourg with F91 Dudelange.

Although Wolfsburg and Bournemouth have shown interest, Toppmoller is believed to favor a move to the Premier League for his next challenge.

Alternative Options for the Eagles

Crystal Palace are casting a wide net to ensure they find the right fit for the post. Alongside Toppmoller, the club is monitoring several other high-profile figures:

  • Andoni Iraola: The current Bournemouth boss is expected to leave the Cherries this summer. Despite links to Athletic Bilbao, Iraola is reportedly interested in the project at Selhurst Park.
  • Marco Silva: With his Fulham contract nearing its end, Silva provides a wealth of Premier League experience.
  • Sean Dyche: The veteran manager remains on the shortlist as Palace considers established domestic talent.

Current Premier League Snapshot

While the board focuses on the dugout, the league remains in full swing. Recent results saw Leeds dominate Wolves with a 3 to 0 victory, while Tottenham and Brighton fought to a 2 to 2 draw. All eyes are now turning toward the high-stakes clash between Manchester City and Arsenal scheduled for April 19.
