IT’S HAPPENING! Sky Sports Drops BOMBSHELL As 5th Leeds Deal Given Green Light To Fly In For Game changing Move

This star player is finally poised to complete his transfer to Leeds United after a flurry of movement among West Yorkshire goalkeepers.

The summer window has seen a total overhaul between the posts at Elland Road. Illan Meslier and Karl Darlow both departed on free transfers to Arsenal and Manchester United, respectively. In response, manager Daniel Farke secured James Trafford from Manchester City for a club-record fee to claim the starting role, while Alex Cairns signed a contract extension to remain the squad’s third-choice option.

Following days of uncertainty, Zetterer’s move to LS11 is back on track. Although the German keeper arrived in England last week and indicated his preference to join Leeds, the deal stalled while dominoes fell elsewhere in Europe. Eintracht Frankfurt needed a replacement for Zetterer before sanctioning his exit, which was triggered by Lucas Perri’s impending departure to Torino. With Noah Atubolu now secured as Frankfurt’s new shot-stopper, the pathway has cleared.

Journalist Zinny Boswell reports that Leeds granted Perri permission to travel to Italy on Friday to undergo a medical and complete a loan deal with an option to buy. Simultaneously, Frankfurt cleared Zetterer to travel to West Yorkshire. He is expected to finalize his medical and paperwork on Friday, becoming the club’s fifth summer signing.

With Zetterer set to lock down the backup goalkeeper role, attention turns to the remaining days of the transfer window. Leeds have already bolstered the squad with high-profile additions like Trafford, Tarik Muharemovic, and Harry Wilson, but recruitment staff continue to seek squad depth.

Target areas include cover for left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson, additional wing play, and another option up front. RB Leipzig striker Conrad Harder has emerged as a potential target, with a loan move being explored for the young Dane. As deadline day approaches, Zetterer and Perri represent the first of several expected moves in and out of Elland Road.
