“PARKHEAD IN SHOCK!” Burnley COMPLETE Midnight Hijack for Celtic Fan Favourite Seconds Before Deadline!

Burnley completed a dramatic transfer deadline day by securing Celtic midfielder Reo Hatate on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. The 28-year-old Japanese international spent four years in Glasgow, netting 33 goals over 190 appearances. He expressed his excitement about moving to England and joined Turf Moor to add vital depth to the Clarets’ central midfield.

The midnight victory was tempered by the high-profile departure of talismanic forward Zian Flemming. The Dutch striker sealed a £20m transfer to Ipswich Town, which includes a £17m initial fee alongside £3m in performance-related add-ons. Burnley manager Nicky Hayen stated earlier in the day that the club intended to recruit a direct replacement if Flemming departed. However, the deadline passed without the acquisition of a new striker.

The busy closing window brought several other roster shifts:

  • Igor Julio joined the club permanently from Brighton.
  • Largie Ramazani arrived from Leeds United on a season-long loan featuring a mandatory buy clause.
  • Joe Worrall exited Turf Moor, completing a £2m permanent transfer to Wrexham.
