Former Rangers loan star Mikey Moore tuned in from afar to celebrate the club’s dominant 3-0 victory over Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals at Ibrox. Derek McInnes has enjoyed a strong start during his tenure, but this cup triumph over their fierce rivals stands out as a major milestone. Captain Dan Neil led by example with two goals, while Kevin Kelsy added his first strike for the club. The two Glasgow giants will meet again next week in league action at Celtic Park, but the Gers have plenty of reason to savor this weekend’s result.

Moore’s Social Media Reaction

Though Moore is no longer at Ibrox after a successful 2025-26 campaign where he tallied seven goals and three assists across 33 Premiership matches, he clearly still follows his former team closely. Rangers supporters hoped the young forward would return for another stint this season, but Tottenham instead sent him on loan to Bundesliga side Cologne. Following the derby win, Moore shared the club’s official result graphic on his Instagram story, accompanied by a Union Jack flag and saluting emojis.

Life at Cologne

Tottenham’s decision to loan Moore out rather than integrate him into their struggling Premier League attack has raised eyebrows. Since arriving in Germany during the late summer window, the 19-year-old has featured twice for Cologne across 119 minutes. While he is still hunting for his first goal or assist for his new club, general consensus points to him making a bright impression as he continues his development away from Glasgow.
