Marseille star has reached a personal agreement to sign for Crystal Palace. The Premier League side must now negotiate a final transfer fee with Olympique de Marseille to complete the deal.
Marseille have been actively looking to sell players throughout the summer transfer window to balance their finances. With the deadline approaching, Timber is one of two key figures edging toward an exit from the French side, alongside Igor Paixão, who is currently in talks with Sunderland.

Timber only moved to Marseille in January, but an impressive series of performances during the second half of last season significantly raised his market valuation. Although manager Bruno Genesio preferred to keep the Dutch international, Marseille’s current economic state forces them to accept offers for high-demand squad members.
The 25-year-old midfielder, whose twin brother Jurriën plays for Arsenal, has set his sights on relocating to London. The move now hinges entirely on Crystal Palace and Marseille reaching a formal agreement on the transfer terms.
