Manager Derek McInnes is taking a far firmer approach than many of his predecessors. He has wasted no time in clearing out squad members who no longer fit into his vision for the club.
With Rangers gearing up for their final home friendly of the summer against West Ham, the club’s transfer activity is far from complete. Danilo has completed a loan move to Brazilian side Botafogo, a deal that includes a conditional obligation to buy. More departures are anticipated in the coming days.
On the incoming front, goalkeeper Vanja Dragojevic recently arrived as the club’s seventh summer signing, and more additions are expected. McInnes is focused on building a side capable of bringing silverware back to Ibrox, with the competitive campaign kicking off this Friday away to Dundee United at Tannadice.

Cantwell’s time at Ibrox failed to live up to expectations, making his enthusiastic response to Danilo’s exit fitting. Danilo ultimately falls into a similar category of a high-profile signing that never truly delivered. By moving these players on, Rangers can leave recent disappointments behind and fully focus on challenging for trophies.
Cantwell was a waste of time, money & effort, never lived up to expectations where he would have been idolised if he played like his promises, you could tell he didn’t want to be at Rangers ( mind blowing he’d rather have Blackburn ), but I’m surprised at Balogan, think I’ll take that with a pinch of salt he loved the Rangers, anyway this season is going to be ours, In McInnes we trust 🔴⚪️🔵
